Welcome to the Lewiston Clarkston valley ~ An ancient land of subtle grace and beauty.

As the country has been celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Corps of Discovery ~ the Lewis and Clark Expedition 1804-1806, the Valley will participate in the Confluence Project: a series of seven art installations designed by architect Maya Lin. The island at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers is part of the homelands of the Nez Perce. It is the only site that still resembles what Lewis and Clark saw as they passed through: a dry grassy steppe.
